PRAYER REQUEST - Connor Stults

Connor returns to Huntsville to visit his cardiologist this morning at 10:00. As most of you know, Connor has been diagnosed with a serious condition called Aortic Stenosis. It is unlikely for anything to happen right now as long as he doesn't run for long periods of time.

Connor really wants to play basketball and football, but his doctor advises against it. He says, "I'll be careful","I'll take a lot of breaks", or "Nothing's going to happen, Mom". Once he is an adult, surgery to replace the main valve in his heart could possibly correct the problem, which could tremendously decrease the danger to him.

He has learned to recognize symptoms, prompting him to stop or slow down (even lay down) and check his heart rate. He sometimes plays dodge ball, kick ball and other games at school and he runs all the time when he has someone to play with outside of school. Aerobic activity sometimes requires him to stop and rest, to avoid a collapse. (May God continue to keep me in perfect peace and cast away this mother's fear).

I know that God is taking care of him. Keith and I believe that God can heal his heart completely and forever. So does Connor. We believe that God has big things ahead for Connor and He will heal his heart in His time.

I ask you all this morning, please just pray that Connor gets a good report, that the problem hasn't worsened. Pray that Connor will begin to understand his limitations for now. Pray that he would find something else to do that wouldn't put so much pressure on his heart. Mainly, just pray for God's will for Connor.

Thank you all for your prayers,
Tina Stults
