This past week Pastor Clint and the church board agreed to donate to the local Christian Radio station "The Fix". Many in the congregation donate individually, but Bro. Gregg Stidham felt impressed that we donate as a church.
The board agreed to complete the offering already recieved in an evening service to be a grand total of $1000.00. Pastor Clint told the men he would call at some point on Monday, October 22, 2007. Pastor Clint began to pray about when would be a good time to call, because he used to DJ at a Christian Radio station in the Anniston area. He knew how important the last few hours of the fundraiser are.
So about 9:30pm on Monday evening he called, not knowing that the young man in charge of that time slot had set a goal of $5,000.00. Some pledges had come in but it seemed to be a far stretch. After Pastor Clint called in the church's pledge, momentum began to take place and several more pledges came in that night.
By the end of the close of share-a-thon the next day, 91.3 met their goal! We are blessed to be a part of the Gospel being shared all over our area, offering wholesome Christian music to everyone!
