What a Wonderful Sunday!

Days events from Sunday, July 22, 2007

Wow! What an awesome day the Lord gave us Sunday! Thank the Lord for a great group of people who make up our worship team. They work so very hard to bring "excellence in ministry" in our praise and worship. The morning attendance was a little down again this week at 104 because of several out for various reasons. The Spirit of the Lord moved in the morning service and we experienced a fantastic altar time.

I had a pre-marital, pre-wedding planning session in the afternoon, then the monthly Fellowship Group Leaders meeting in the afternoon as well. The meeting went well. I shared what the Lord had placed on my heart about the Pastoral responsibilities of these great leaders in the next few weeks in the absence of a Senior/Lead Pastor. They are up to the challenge. We ended our meeting with an anointed time of private prayer. The Lord seemed to strengthen in that time of prayer. He always knows what we need.

The evening service was one of the most powerful we have experienced in a great while. During the worship, one of our pre-teens obeyed the Lord and came to the altar to seek the Lord. This proved to be the key to seeing a breakthrough in our service. Many began to obey the Lord and seek His face in prayer. God did some wonderful things as evidenced by the testimony time to end the service.

We ended the day with our quarterly business conference. Praise the Lord for another wonderful financial report! Because of an excess in the Camp Boothe line item of our budget, we elected to send an additional $1,000.00 to the Camp to help pay-off the debt for the multi-purpose building.
