We are thankful and rejoicing to have come this far in the project of rebuilding after the April 27th tornado when our city, neighborhoods and church properties were left completely destroyed. We have been worshiping in tents since the Sunday following the tornado. First, area ministries provided us with an open air tent, and by July we were blessed by Dutch Sheets Ministries to worship in a "Perma Tent," a steel-framed canvas structure on a make shift plywood floor. W have had no restrooms or facilities for classes or fellowship, however the Perma-structure provided us with a dry, cleaner and cooler place to worship. To God be the Glory!
With our first focus being the Youth & Children's Ministries, our gymnasium building is approximately 75% complete, as sited in the pictures below. This room seats 200, and is equipped with full media/sound system and stage. Amazingly enough, the chairs in this room are the 200 hundred chairs we salvaged from our destroyed church that seated 300. These chairs have made every transition with us from the open tent, to the Perma Tent, and now the youth center. (One small story of many about God's provision.)
We are very thankful to begin worshiping in the Youth Church until the rebuilding of our sanctuary structure is complete in April, 2012.

It is so wonderful to finally worship in a building for the first time in 7 months!

"Come on in; let the fellowship begin."

Who wouldn't be happy on a day like today?

Pastor Liz is so excited about having a public restroom that isn't portable!

Now let's worship our God...

Let the redeemed of the Lord rise up!
